If you were a Rainbow you would have already made a promise. The Brownie promise is a bit longer but means nearly the same thing.
If you were not a Rainbow, it doesn't matter, you can still be a brilliant Brownie!

that their Brownies make their promise.
This is what we do in Our Pack
When you first start, you will be given a small catalogue so you can choose your uniform. When you have worked through your book, learnt your promise and have your uniform, you are ready to make your promise.
Then you can decide when you want to make your promise. Usually girls wants to make their promise at a Brownie Meeting. Sometimes we do it outside, or sometimes we do it at an 'event', like at a pack holiday or the pantomime!
Most girls choose to make their promise at Brownie meetings so that their family can watch. On the special night we celebrate by having some party food & drink, and we play games that the new brownie has chosen,
(often balloons are involved! Eeyore hates balloons!!)
If you are 9 when you make your promise, you will get a different book especially for you!
Near the end of the meeting the new Brownie makes her promise and collects her promise box with her badges and certificate inside. She will also be given a handbook.
If there's time we sing songs or act out a short sketch.
